If you educate yourself with regards to what was once a perceived risk, a paralysing fear, it becomes a calculated risk; a potential opportunity for personal growth; financial investment; a spiritual renewal. Thus you begin the process of re-inventing yourself.

Success is interpreted by every person somewhat differently. It is truly an individual perception. One man or woman  may perceive success to mean possessions, real estate, & money. Another may state that every day he or she is alive, healthy, and happy is a good day, they have both been successful. However be careful how you define success, it may set one up for failure if you set your sites to high or to low.

It is imperative we discover our true selves. We often live by others rules, others agendas. Perhaps your Mother or Father, but all to often not our own. It is human to resist change. However to fully live ones life change is inevitable and must be embraced. For one to go through life fixated on a singular thought process (that may not be your own) will exclude other possibilities. It is so sad that many persons on their death bed realize that they have gone through life living by a belief system that was not of their making. It is crucial that our life be an accurate reflection of our beliefs.

We are often told that opportunity only shows itself rarely and as such we must be ready to grab it when it does. However a very wise friend views this statement differently. For him opportunity unveils itself daily and only those who are open to it will embrace the change, take  the risk, and reap the rewards. According to him if you bury your head in the muck of life you will miss this daily opportunity to grow, and witness the amazing wonders of  being  human.

With the dawning of the new year comes the many personal resolutions. Making a statement for some desired outcome is a wonderful beginning. However one must always be cognisant that this is only a starting point to a journey. You must complete that journey in order to fulfill your desire; your resolution. Perseverance is what is required. Ask yourself daily "if I do not work daily at this task where will I be next year at this time?"

The resilience of the human spirit has always amazed me. People throughout history have surmounted incredible hardships, droughts, famines, plagues, wars, physical and psychological torture, fear, loneliness, abandonment,  imprisonment, and death. The one thing that was paramount to their survival was Hope. Hope for a better world, to tell their story so this atrocity would not occur again. Hope that with time they would be able to forgive but they would never forget. Hope they might find gentleness, kindness, compassion, and perhaps love. Do not ever forget the awesome power of 'Hope'.

Throughout history man has written and spoken about the amazing characteristics of 'Love' . The powerful attributes of 'Love'. Its Herculean strength to move mountains, alter the weather, or even turn night to day. However I do know 'Love' takes life  to a better place, like the mythical city of 'Shangri-la'.

It is true, anything is possible. A persons perspective is  a  matter of   choice. Each one of us  is   the master of his or her destiny. If we are not capable of forging our  own path, following our dreams, than the circumstances in cahoots with the agenda of others will  choose for us. Have courage & faith  in your convictions. Be strong. Believe.

True love is magical. It takes the human journey to a new height. Love lives in the now and looks to the future. It walks a fine line between hurt, pain, torment, and all the great and wonderful attributes of mankind. To love is a risk however everyday life is a risk. If you are fortunate enough to find true love be strong, do whatever you must to grow your love.

Life is absolutely amazing when we are fully alive. Like the saying, "if we continue to do what we have always done we shall get what we have always got". Only by embrassing change and taking risks can we live fully, explore new places, encounter new people with differing perspectives and see the wonders of this world with amazement, and be fully alive for the first time.

It is inevitable that at sometime in ones life you will be knocked back or even knocked done by a mighty blow. Like David defeating Goliaith, the ability of the Human Spirit to overcome even the worst nightmare has been witnessed countless times. Person overcoming cancer diagnosis, still others surviving various ailments. It all begins with a choice to live fully. To live each day completely as if it were your last.
